2021 Year in Review: Independent C-Stores
In a year unlike any other, 2021 was especially unique for the c-store market. Here are a few highlights:
- Average monthly in-store revenue was up 8% and average basket sizes were up 3% compared to 2020
- The average number of weekly fuel visits per c-store were up 15% from 2020
- Most categories saw growth in 2020 - premium water saw 20% YOY growth, juice and alternative snacks grew 11% each, while candy and snacks each grew around 5%.
